( Art Contract for murals,signs, and custom art.)

 

 

 

Artwork in pre-design is not representative of finished and detailed works. They are idea based only, to provide a guideline and concept for estimates, using sketches, computer generated images or multi-media in preparation for compensated artworks. They will be rough and not take any longer than a couple of hours to get the idea of the said artworks down in visual form.
 Further rework, graphics and sketches will require a design fee of $50hr plus materials where applicable. Any design work that is requested to be taken to "completed" state will be deemed as a separate completed artwork and charge accordingly
 Fees may be prorated from the final design and labor pricing, on acceptance of project contract, as determined by the complexity, costs and discretion of artist.

I, ____________________________, understand that the item I am paying for is a one of a kind, hand-painted, custom piece of art and that the finished item will be the artist's interpretation and rendition of the design and specifications. I understand that the different media, from design stage to completed art work, will return different results and therefore the final artwork may differ slightly from the pre-determined designs but will be as close as possible. I also understand that any changes requested after the work begins is considered "New work" and will incur agreed upon charges plus additional charges as New work. 
 Further, since this is a custom, personalized item, I understand that the item and artwork is non-refundable and non-returnable. I completely understand that painting the item may affect the structural integrity of the item and that painting the item may in fact void all warranties of the items.
 I agree and consent to pay and attend to any injuries or damages that may occur during the use of the item and further agree to relieve the artist from all liabilities, compensation and litigations for such injuries or damages that may occur by the usage of the painted item. I understand that once the item is painted, it is considered a novelty item and is to be used at my own risk.
 Also, I agree to allow all designs and photographs related to the item to be used and presented in promotional advertising and commercial venues by the artist.
 I attest, by my signature, that all of the above is understood and agreed to with, and by me, my fully informed consent.
